1. Background:

Dentam is one of the Sub-Divisions of Gyalshing district. The word Dentam has been derived from the word 'Ten-Nem', which literally means a flat terraced land in limboo language. Dentam is surrounded by forest of rhododendrons and is also famous for the Alpine Gouda Cheese factory a product of Indo - Swiss collaboration.
